Diminished patterns are interesting sounding, and fun to play. They only have four notes, so they're not considered a scale. The formula is 1 b3 b5 6 and the patterns repeat every minor third (four frets).
Practice to a metronome set between 110-130 bpm repeating repetitiously. The next starting position for this example would be fret 11, then 2 (or 14), then fret 5. Enjoy!
